St. Louis County police are currently searching for Jennifer Wilke, a 46-year-old mother accused of absconding with her two children, 10-year-old Jasper Wilke and 6-year-old Jenevieve Wilke, defying a court order that granted custody to their father, as FOX 2 Now reported.
Wilke, who was last seen in the area of the 1500 block of West Highway 50 in O'Fallon, Illinois, is charged with two counts of interference with custody - removed from state after a St. Louis County Court upheld a Florida court’s decision and dismissed Wilke's ex-parte order of protection the same court session, she fled with her children without turning them over, according to KSDK.
The father, who was granted legal custody, alerted the authorities and prompted a welfare check at a residence on Sappington Barracks Road last Thursday, initiating the search for Wilke and her children upon her failure to comply with the court order, this information was relayed by First Alert 4.
Authorities have raised concerns for the children's safety after a video surfaced showing the children in a dark room and looking visibly frightened, a detail that has particularly alarmed police as they continue their investigation, officers are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jennifer Wilke or the children to call 911 immediately as they continue to pursue leads and the last known vehicle is a silver 2019 Toyota Highlander, this was shared by a St. Louis County Police Department spokesperson.
