The City of St. Louis Park recently announced on social media a lineup of engaging January events for kids, including opportunities to make paint bombs, build DIY pinball machines, and explore construction equipment.
On January 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, the "Blast-Off Paint Bombs with Kid Scientific" event will captivate children aged 4 to 9. The "Little Diggers" session with Little Hands Discovery, slated for January 24 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m, will allow the youngest attendees, from 18 months to 6 years of age, unbridled access to get up close with big machines designed to fit their little hands, something to marvel at really when you consider the scale.
Later that same day, "DIY Pinball Machine," a session running from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., is bound to strike a chord with tech-minded kids aged 5 to 12. They will take a dive into the mechanics and creativity behind these classic arcade staples by building their own functional pinball machines. For parents looking to provide their children with an engaging and potentially inspiring experience, the aforementioned activities at the Rec Center hold considerable promise.
For those interested in enrolling their children in these activities, sign-ups are available online through a secure portal. The official announcement posted on Facebook provides all the necessary details for would-be participants.
