Residents of St. Louis Park will have the opportunity on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 6:15 p.m., to review the project details and provide feedback directly to the City Council.
This public hearing offers a platform for the Engineering Department, under Aaron Wiesen, to present the final plan and its recommendations before the City Council votes on February 3, 2025. The hearing will be held at the St. Louis Park City Hall Council Chambers – 5005 Minnetonka Boulevard. According to the public notice, anyone with questions prior to the event can reach out to Aaron Wiesen at 952.924.2673 or via email at [email protected].
City Clerk Melissa Kennedy has assured that auxiliary aids for individuals with disabilities will be made available, provided a 96-hour request is made in advance. These requests can be made by contacting the clerk's office at 952.928.2840. Residents who wish to voice their opinions can do so by either attending the public hearing, where they will be heard, or by submitting written comments.
The City Council's decision may hinge on the feedback received from the St. Louis Park community, whether to approve the project as recommended or to introduce modifications. Emphasizing the importance of resident participation, the announcement encourages community members to attend and share their perspectives, ensuring the project reflects the diverse needs and desires of those who occupy this space on a daily basis. The City Council, ordered by the conduct of Melissa Kennedy, City Clerk, stresses this as a civic opportunity not to be taken lightly.
