
A 40-year-old man, identified as Charles Brown of the 6500 block of Minnesota Avenue, was shot and critically wounded in Carondelet on December 18, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The incident occurred in an alley around 2:40 p.m., with the victim conveying to officers that he was attacked by two men donning black ski masks and appareled in black.
As the police report, the man was walking down the alley when he was abruptly fired upon. Due to the severity of his injuries, Brown has been unable to provide extensive details about the assailants. The attack left him with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, and he was subsequently transferred to the hospital by EMS, listed in a critical condition.
The police's District 1 is actively investigating the shooting, though no suspects have been taken into custody as of yet. The department is calling for anyone who might have information regarding this crime to come forward.
