Residents of El Paso can expect clear skies and a streak of sunny days ahead, according to the National Weather Service. With temperatures currently sitting at a chilly 30°F, locals are advised to bundle up to combat the cold, which feels more piercing due to a wind chill of 22°F.
After a brisk start this morning, the NWS predicts temperatures will rise to a high of 51 degrees. Winds from the west-southwest will remain gentle, only reaching 3 to 6 mph. The night will maintain clarity, and the temperature is expected to drop to around 30 degrees, but the wind will shift becoming north after midnight. Residents planning evening activities should prepare for another cold night ahead, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS forecast extends into the week with optimism; Sunday will remain sunny with a high near 49, while the wind will change from north-northeast 6 to 9 mph to east-southeast in the afternoon. A similar pattern will follow for Monday and Tuesday, with sunny skies and daytime highs in the low 50s. At night, the sky will stay mostly clear, and temperatures will hover around the freezing mark.
As the midweek approaches, El Paso will continue to see mostly sunny days with a high reaching up to 54 degrees. However, a gradual warming trend is predicted, peaking on Thursday with a high near 58. The skies will get cloudier as the weekend nears, and, by Friday there's a slight chance of showers with a 20 percent probability. While it isn't enough to dampen spirits, it is a sign that residents should enjoy the serene weather while it lasts.
