The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) Fire has been asked by the California Task Force 3-Urban Search and Rescue Team (CA-TF3) to apply their specialized skills to assist those affected by the catastrophic blazes. As detailed in a recent social media post by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, two members, Lieutenant Scott Isaacs and PSO Michael Franco, are set to join the relief efforts in response to the urgent call for support.
The mobilization of Sunnyvale's personnel is part of a larger commitment that now includes a total of six individuals and the contribution of one fire engine to the firestorm response in LA County. These efforts come with the full support of the Sunnyvale community, which has been asked to keep its deployed members in their thoughts.
The Sunnyvale DPS highlighted, "Please keep our deployed DPS personnel in your thoughts and join us as we look forward to their safe return."
