Following a report of illegal dumping in Long Beach, police officers have successfully apprehended a suspect found in possession of a loaded firearm. The Long Beach Police Department reported that the incident occurred early in the morning on Tuesday when officers arrived on the scene at 16th Street and Cota Avenue. The call was initially about a motorhome suspected of dumping waste illegally.
It was during this investigation that, the officers discovered a male suspect with a loaded gun. According to the Long Beach Police Department's blotter entry, the arrest occurred at approximately 6:24 a.m. The suspect's identity has not yet been released, and the Long Beach Police Department has indicated that further inquiries are still underway.
While details surrounding the initial call concerning the motorhome remain sparse, the discovery and confiscation of the firearm have taken priority in the LBPD's subsequent actions. "The suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing," as stated by the LBPD.
