A Foot Locker store in the 3600 Block of Page Ave became the scene of a brazen robbery last Friday, according to SLMPD. SMLPD officials report that, around 3 PM, a man was seen exiting the store with several purloined pairs of shoes; when caught in the act by security personnel, the suspect brandished a knife to make his escape.
Investigators confirm the individual in question is a middle-aged male, though further details about his identity remain scant as of their last report. After revealing the weapon to store security, the man allegedly threw it aside and fled the vicinity on Martin Luther King Dr., near North Grand. Despite the tension of the moment, and the presence of the knife, no physical injuries were logged during the incident.
The inquiry into the Foot Locker heist persists, with District 4 officers urging anyone who might possess information to step forward.
