
Elizabeth Pauli, City Manager of Tacoma, announced her intention to retire from her role effective July 1, expressing both reflection on her tenure and profound gratitude for her time spent serving the community. This move, as announced on the city's official website, marks the end of a significant chapter for Tacoma's administration, which Pauli has led with a focus on transforming the city into a vibrant and thriving hub.
During her service, Pauli highlighted the fulfillment found in working with dedicated colleagues, employees, partners, and residents, all intertwined in the pursuit of Tacoma's growth, she was deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such committed individuals, shouting out the collective achievements they have garnered to transform Tacoma's landscape. With the transition on the horizon, Pauli noted she will collaborate with the Mayor and City Council to ensure continuity and a smooth handover of responsibilities to the next custodian of the City Manager role, stating the City Council would discuss the selection process for an interim replacement during their January 28, study session, as detailed by the City of Tacoma.
