A teenager is recovering after being shot during a domestic disturbance yesterday in Horn Lake. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the 2600 block of Eastbrook Drive, prompting a response from Horn Lake Police, as FOX 13 reported.

The disturbance involved multiple family members, and during the altercation, a 17-year-old was shot in the upper leg. According to abc24, the victim was taken to Regional One for treatment, initially listed in critical condition but later upgraded to stable. The juvenile's identity has not been released, and no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.

A local resident named Taraji told WREG, "I think it was 50 (shots) that I heard in my room." Her brother, Dajuan, quickly moved their younger siblings to safety, drawing on his experience as a security guard. Another neighbor, Allaan Oaks, mentioned the frequency of gunfire in the area. “House over there a guy killed his wife, house right there somebody killed him, house right there – guy shot himself in the head,” Oaks told. “Oh, this world is going down way, down,” he said.

The Horn Lake Police Department is continuing its investigation, gathering details from witnesses and family.
