A somber early morning scene unfolded on eastbound Interstate 270 in Florissant when a pedestrian was struck fatally in a series of collisions involving three vehicles. The chaos escalated when a passenger exited the overturned car, only to be hit and killed by an oncoming third vehicle. According to KSDK, this third driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The driver responsible for the overturned vehicle was arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated or DWI, as confirmed by Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. Dallas Thompson.
