Two individuals were apprehended yesterday evening after an incident involving a stolen truck and a police pursuit in Sumner County. The sequence of events unfolded when Goodlettsville police discovered the vehicle at the Red Roof Inn. Upon attempting to detain the occupants, the vehicle's driver, Sean Charles Greer Martin, rammed into a police cruiser and fled the scene. Sumner County deputies later spotted the truck, prompting a chase that ended after the truck was immobilized by stop sticks, as reported by WKRN.
A BOLO alert issued to nearby law enforcement agencies helped in the quick identification of the vehicle on Highway 386. Though the driver attempted to escape, law enforcement brought the situation under control by deploying stop sticks that disabled the vehicle. At that point, both Martin and his passenger, Monterious Hardison-Harrison, were taken into custody, according to WSMV. In the aftermath, authorities discovered multiple firearms, including a 50-round magazine, inside the truck, FOX17 noted the additional detail.
Commending the cooperation between agencies, Sumner County Sheriff Eric Craddock extolled the bravery and professionalism of the deputies involved in the resolution of the incident, stating, "I want to personally commend the bravery and professionalism of our deputies and thank the Hendersonville and Gallatin Police Departments for their support. This incident is a testament to the strong partnerships we share in keeping our communities safe," in a statement obtained by multiple sources, including FOX17.
The driver, 18-year-old Martin, faces multiple charges including evading arrest, reckless endangerment, and kidnapping, while details regarding charges against Hardison-Harrison were not immediately clear with his name missing from the inmate records at the time of reporting by WKRN.
