
Two young men suffered gunshot wounds in an incident on Martin Luther King Junior Drive SW in Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 9:12 PM on Wednesday, finding a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his left arm. He was conscious and was quickly taken to a hospital for treatment.
Shortly thereafter, a second victim, a 20-year-old male, was discovered at Emory University Hospital Midtown, bearing a wound from a gunshot to his right leg, the two incidents appear related and the preliminary investigation suggests that these two shootings may be connected although investigators are still piecing together what transpired that evening. The victims were both alert and breathing when they were found.
Detectives with the Aggravated Assault Unit are actively investigating to determine the specifics of what led to the shooting.
