Two men have been taken into custody following an armed robbery that occurred in Charlestown. Notification of the crime came through shortly after 6 PM on Monday, as per Boston Police Department records.

Authorities were alerted to a robbery at 134 Bunker Hill Avenue, where it was reported that a store was relieved of an undisclosed sum of money under gunpoint. Making their escape on Monument Street, the pair headed in the direction of O’Reilly Way, according to the BPD. Security camera footage obtained during the investigation led detectives to broadcast descriptions and photos of the suspects to officers in the vicinity.

Further investigation prompted detectives to advise that the suspects were last seen fleeing from the Bunker Hill Development towards 85 Medford Street. Pursuing this lead, officers spotted one suspect departing an apartment, who was then promptly detained. Simultaneously, detectives sought to secure the premises, knocking and declaring their authority at the apartment door, where they encountered and handcuffed the second suspect.

Identified as Michael Dacey, 41, from Wakefield, and Corey Roy, 40, of Charlestown, the duo now faces charges of Armed and Masked Robbery, with Dacey receiving an additional charge for furnishing a false name upon arrest. Their arraignment is set in Charlestown District Court, as they await the proceedings to unfold.
