It's not just any park, this complex is a testament to Union City's push for health, wellness and the knitting of its over 26,000 residents closer together. With a skate park funded by the federal government's Department of Natural Resources' Land Water Conservation Fund, it's now a hotbed for the area's youths. There's soon to be a 0.60-mile rubberized trail, funded by the same department's Recreational Trails Program, offering up spaces for everyone to sprint, stroll, or roll, making connections between Ronald Bridges Park and The Gathering Place Community Center. All this, practically right off State Route 14 and with easy public transport access, spotlights Union City's strategic planning.
