Attention Baton Rouge drivers: Last night, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will be installed temporary barriers, leading to lane closures on I-12 EB from the I-10/I-12 split to Essen Lane. The closures will began at 9:00 PM and ended at 5:00 AM today.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), from last night until tomorrow and Saturday, a portion of the I-12 WB right shoulder near Essen Lane to Exit 1A will be closed from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is part of the overhead sign truss construction.
The closures are weather permitting, and while there won’t be additional width restrictions, drivers should be extra cautious in the work zones.
