A Washington County man stands accused of a heinous act of violence against a defenseless 1-year-old boy he was babysitting in November 2024. Lyndon Henderson, 24, is now facing attempted homicide charges, a step up from his previous charges of assault, after the child was discovered unresponsive in an apartment in California Borough, as reported by WTAE.

The baby suffered a traumatic brain injury, multiple bruises, a stroke, a broken neck vertebra, and swelling in the brain, requiring a ventilator to help him breathe. In a statement obtained by WPXI, the child's physician asserted that the victim's injuries were "100% unequivocally the result of child abuse."
While the mother had entrusted her boyfriend with her child's care as she went to work, a return home revealed a scene no parent should ever confront.
