The dawn of the new year was marked by the cries of newborns as Indianapolis area hospitals reported their first births of 2025, introducing us to the earliest members of Generation Beta. At 12:48 a.m., Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo witnessed the arrival of Angel Gael, the first child of Jennifer Esparza and Luis Guillermo, weighing in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces.
Celebrations continued across the city where, at 2:08 a.m., Milo Heidinger was warmly welcomed as Riley Maternity Tower's first baby of the year. According to WISHTV, the facility had already had the privilege to successfully bring six babies, including Milo, into the world by 11 a.m., with his siblings eagerly awaiting to meet their new brother.
Just shortly after Milo's birth, Community Hospital North introduced Lainey Goetz at 2:27 a.m., the first child for Bethany and Robert Goetz of Indianapolis. A statement obtained by FOX59 declared her weight to be 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Not far behind was Hudson Dobbs, who arrived at Community Hospital East at 2:38 a.m., unveiled as the second son to Amanda and Justin Dobbs, with Amanda being a nurse at the hospital.
The first chorus of new life at Franciscan Health Indianapolis was heard at 9:06 a.m. with the birth of Tegveer Singh. As the chimes of "Jesus Loves Me" signaled the joyous event, his parents Navdeep Kaur and Amandeep Singh of Indianapolis were to officially introduce him to the family. The hospital, known for its longstanding tradition of gifting a celebratory basket, had more reason to celebrate having delivered around 2,200 babies in 2024, as reported by WTHR.
