Last Thursday, Wilmington Police arrested 35-year-old Nahreem Qaadir-Bey, who was wanted on multiple charges, including weapon and drug violations. He was spotted by the Safe Streets Task Force on the 700 block of North Clayton Street and was arrested without resistance, as reported by the Wilmington Police Department.
During the arrest, Qaadir-Bey was found with a loaded .45 caliber handgun and 0.9 grams of heroin. This led to additional charges: two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Qaadir-Bey was arrested and processed through the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, where he was remanded to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. His bail was set at $15,200, payable only in cash. While case details remain undisclosed, as stated by the Wilmington Police Department.
