Worcester Police Vice Squad arrested four people last Friday for suspected crack cocaine distribution after monitoring the area around May St. Officers noticed a gray Nissan and saw an exchange between the driver and another individual, prompting the arrests, according to the Worcester Police Department.

Officers in Worcester stopped a Nissan on Park Ave after a female was found with a substance that looked like crack cocaine. The car's occupants—Bruce Monfreda, 65; Heidi Provost, 47; Michael Kohlstrom, 33; and Nam Nguyen, 26—were arrested. They face drug charges after officers located a large amount of what appeared to be crack cocaine in the vehicle, the Worcester Police Department said.

Worcester Police Department has charged Monfreda and Kohlstrom with distributing and possessing a Class B substance with intent to distribute, as well as conspiracy to violate drug laws. Provost, arrested with similar charges, also had an outstanding warrant. Nguyen faces the same charges as the others, plus additional charges of trafficking in 18-36 grams of a Class B substance, along with his own outstanding warrant.
