An 18-year-old man, Ahmed Falah, is now in custody facing charges in a road rage incident that left a 26-year-old injured on February 8. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Falah allegedly fired a gun from his vehicle into another car, a Toyota Yaris, striking a passenger in the knee after an exchange of words on Nolensville Pike. The passenger sustained a gunshot wound while the female driver was unharmed during the altercation.
The capture of Falah occurred after he attempted to escape a traffic stop. Reportedly, a spike strip brought his Infiniti sedan to a halt at the intersection of Tusculum Road and Nolensville Pike. After abandoning his vehicle on Brewer Drive, he led authorities on a foot pursuit before his apprehension. Police also recovered a nine-millimeter pistol from his car, this escalation following what started as mere roadway banter reveals just how quickly tempers can flare into violence.
Falah now faces charges including aggravated assault, evading arrest, and driving without a license, with his bond set by a judicial commissioner at $54,500.
