An 18-year-old has been charged with the first-degree murder of a 47-year-old man, according to the Chicago Police Department. Aaliyah Cain, residing on the 10500 block of S. Prairie Ave in Chicago, Illinois, was arrested by Chicago Police and the U.S Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on February 12, following an incident that took place on July 6, 2024, in the 10600 block of S. State St.
Cain was pinpointed as one of the individuals involved in the deadly shooting and has since been taken into custody, facing a single felony count. The arrest occurred within the same neighborhood, the 10500 block of S. Prairie Ave, where she lives. No additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the arrest have been released at this time.
The detention hearing for the accused is scheduled for Saturday at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. The identity of the 47-year-old victim has not been disclosed by authorities.
