In a separate but related event, Brudenell gained social media attention for his involvement in a disturbing video in which he was seen making racist and sexist remarks at the same event, which eventually led to his termination from his employer; this video surfaced before the trespass incident, as reported by 12News. The video in question captures Brudenell's discriminatory comments toward Mexican individuals, which contributed to the swift action taken by his employer, who stated the behavior was counter to the company's values.
The Scottsdale Police Department found Brudenell near the second hole of the golf course after hours, marking his initial interaction with officials that concluded with his arrest and transport to Scottsdale City Jail, encountering charges including trespassing and provision of false identification after refusing to truthfully provide his name and consumption of alcohol under the legal age, as reported by 12News.
