A 19-year-old man, Trevon Clarence Thomas, has been arrested in connection to a double shooting at the Main Event entertainment center in Cobb County. Thomas, who is currently held at the Cobb County Detention Center, faces charges including two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during a crime. His arrest took place on Tuesday, following the shooting on Sunday evening, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. last Sunday at 3101 Cobb Parkway, near Cumberland Mall. Witnesses reported that an argument, allegedly sparked by a request for water, led to gunfire, which was later captured in online videos.

According to Dedra Carter, a witness, the incident began when an employee slapped her son. A man intervened, asking about the situation, but another individual then entered and started shooting. Carter told FOX 5Atlanta, "I just remember the last words of my grandson saying, ‘This is the worst birthday ever,' and he didn't even get to cut his cake."

Two men were treated at a nearby hospital for injuries from the shooting. A spokesperson confirmed Thomas as the exclusive suspect, according to Atlanta News First. The investigation is ongoing.
