An Amber Alert has been activated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for Maria Linebaugh, a 2-year-old girl reported missing from Kingsport. WVLT provided details on her last sighting near Bowater Drive, where she was wearing a long-sleeve shirt that featured a heart, beige pants, and pink shoes.
The alert, which was detailed further by 3BM News, suggests that she may be in the company of 32-year-old Matthew Linebaugh, who is believed to be traveling in a silver 2010 Ford Crown Victoria, with a Tennessee license plate BRF4966. Wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt with a heart, as reported, anyone who sees Maria or Matthew should call the authorities immediately.
According to a statement obtained by WBIR, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the alert on Monday morning, following Maria's disappearance and requesting immediate public assistance to ensure her safe return.
The Kingsport Police Department is actively seeking information and has joined forces with the TBI to expand the outreach. As seen Monday morning, if anyone has seen Maria, Matthew Linebaugh, or the mentioned vehicle, witnesses are implored to contact either the Kingsport Police Department at 423-245-3822 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
