A violent encounter at a Memphis Walmart has resulted in one man critically injured after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD). The incident, which involved an exchange of gunfire between two men following an argument, was reported to have taken place at the Walmart on Austin Peay Highway.

According to Action News 5, officers were called to the scene at approximately 3:51 p.m. yesterday. During a press release by MPD, it was revealed that the shooting occurred between two men after a disagreement.

The man who shot himself was then transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, as per the FOX13 Memphis report.

Two men were detained in connection with the shooting, as mentioned by WREG.
