Arizona State Representative, Lisa Fink, has introduced a package of bills geared toward reinforcing state sovereignty and pushing back against what she describes as federal overreach. Fink's legislative efforts cover a broad spectrum, from natural resource management to election security, all tied together by a reliance on the Tenth Amendment rights given to states.
One bill, HB2059, specifically aims to free Arizona's critical industries such as mining, and the oil and gas sectors from federal regulations that, according to Fink, violate Constitutional limits. "A truly free market will only thrive when unshackled by bureaucratic red tape," Fink stated, in a press release by the Arizona House of Representatives. This legislation would enable Arizona to prioritize both economic prosperity and environmental stewardship on its own terms.
In a further push for autonomy, Fink's HB2060 addresses election integrity, detailing stricter adherence to laws on voter registration and identity verification. "Securing our polls, free from outside interference, is of the utmost importance to preserving trust in our processes," Fink elaborated. The objective here, according to Representative Fink, is to ensure that Arizona's elections are conducted without federal infringement, thus preserving citizens' trust in the electoral system.
Fink also singles out environmental concerns, specifically weather modification and geoengineering activities, which she believes fall outside federal jurisdiction over the state's environment. Her bill, HB2056, states a proactive stance against federal attempts to alter the environment. "Arizona’s environment and natural resources belong to the people of this state—not federal agencies and certainly not the global elite," she declared. This direct cautionary statement reflects Fink's commitment to keeping such environmental actions within the state's control.
Citing continuous assaults on state sovereignty, Fink's series of bills have created a roadmap for Arizona to regain control over its natural resources, election processes, and environmental policies. "This is about reclaiming the freedom that is rightfully ours," Fink expressed.
