Atlanta police have arrested five individuals, including one adult and four juveniles, following a series of car break-ins that led to a high-speed chase and foot pursuit. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the adult, 23-year-old Deshaunte Andrews, was arrested with the juveniles, who were later released to their parents. Andrews is now being held at Fulton County Jail.
During the chase, several items were found along the escape route, including a glove and a window puncher, which police believe are tools typically used in car break-ins. These findings are part of an ongoing investigation with multiple charges against the suspects, including theft.
In addition to theft charges, Andrews faces charges of hit and run, attempting to elude police, obstruction of officers, reckless driving, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. One 14-year-old juvenile has been charged with obstruction, possession of a firearm by a minor, and theft by receiving. Two other 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old are charged with obstruction, as reported by Atlanta News First.
