In a crime that has yet to yield suspects or motive, Ericka Nicole Sherten, 33, was found shot to death. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, police received a call on the night of February 3 and arrived at the scene on the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue SW to find Sherten with at least one gunshot wound. Tragically, the efforts of responding medics were not enough, as she was pronounced dead at the location.
As the investigation continues, the Atlanta Police Department has made a public appeal for assistance. Offering a reward of up to $2,000, they seek any details that could lead to an arrest and indictment. Homicide detectives are earnestly piecing together the events that led to this violence, with the certainty of Sherten's untimely passing, but the circumstances shrouded in uncertainty. 11Alive reported that the call police responded to came in around 10:30 p.m., sending officers to Harmony Plaza Apartments where the grim discovery was made.
