According to a recent WalletHub study, southern cities are leading the way. Atlanta ranked fourth overall, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, making it a top choice for couples planning to tie the knot.

The study ranked 182 cities, and Atlanta stood out for its affordability and convenience. It ranked as the third most affordable city among the top five, beating out cities like Pearl City, Hawaii, Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Warwick, Rhode Island. Atlanta's wide range of planning options also contributed to its high ranking.

Atlanta's success lies in its variety and affordability, according to WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo. He said, "When weddings can cost tens of thousands of dollars and prices have only become even more outrageously inflated in recent years, it pays to hold your wedding in a city that’s affordable, both for those paying for the wedding and for guests who will need to make accommodations," in a statement obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Florida cities also performed well, with Orlando, Miami, and Tampa ranking first, third, and fifth, respectively. Financial writer Adam McCann explained that Orlando’s top ranking is due to its wide range of wedding services, available throughout the city.

In The Atlanta Journal-Constitution report, April Lancit, assistant professor at La Salle University, gave advice to budget-conscious couples, "It’s a magical, unforgettable day, but it doesn’t have to break your pockets. Reflect on your journey as a couple and your shared future. Keep your long-term goals in mind as you budget, and embrace the journey of learning to compromise. It’s all part of building a life together (sic)."
