
Last Saturday, a fatal encounter unfolded at S&S Fast & Easy Liquor in Concord when the swift action of a store employee abruptly ended an armed robbery attempt. According to the Concord Police Department's social media post, the suspect, toting a shotgun, entered the convenience store before 11:30 pm with the intent to coerce an employee into opening the store's safe. The situation quickly escalated when another employee, upon witnessing the scene, made the split-second decision to intervene and fired their own weapon, striking the suspect.
The Concord Police Department is now actively piecing together the details of the incident, which left the suspect pronounced dead on scene. Detectives are thoroughly reviewing evidence to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, while the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed, pending family notification.
