The Big Nude Boat has embarked on its latest Caribbean voyage from PortMiami, marking another milestone for the clothing-optional travel niche. Local 10 News reported that the 11-day sail, which begins today, is a collaboration between Bare Necessities Tour & Travel and Norwegian Cruise Line, utilizing the Norwegian Pearl vessel for the duration of the event.
Priced from $2,200 per person for an inside cabin, the naturist-friendly cruise promises guests the freedom to embrace the sun and sea unencumbered by clothing while they're at sea, while the journey takes them to a selection of pristine Caribbean destinations, such as Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, Roseau in Dominica, and Philipsburg in St. Maarten. South Beach Buzz shared that the clothing-optional policy allows passengers to be nude on the pool deck, sunbathing areas and in select onboard venues, yet all must be clothed in main dining areas, during embarkation and disembarkation, and within port cities.
While the prospect of a nude cruise may raise eyebrows, it comes with stringent rules designed to ensure privacy and respect among guests; photography of fellow passengers is unequivocally banned, and there is an expectation of appropriate attire in certain public spaces as the ship ports. Accommodations range greatly in price, starting with the modest inside cabin and soaring to over $30,000 for luxury suites, catering to a wide spectrum of budgets and preferences for those interesting in such a unique seafaring experience.
