A fatal crash on Interstate 5 last week killed 57-year-old Aleksandr Vasilevich Yevtushok of Boring. Last Thursday, his gray Toyota Tundra crashed into the back of a white Peterbilt semi-truck near milepost 288 in Washington County, according to the Oregon State Police.
A crash at 6:44 p.m. led to a three-hour highway closure as Oregon State Police, Tualatin Police, and the Oregon Department of Transportation investigated and cleared the scene. The semi-truck driver, Marcelino Diaz Orozco, 55, of Salem, was unharmed, while Yevtushok sustained serious injuries and later died at a local hospital.
