On Tuesday afternoon, the Boston Police Department's Drug Control Unit made a significant bust in Brighton, resulting in the arrest of Keith Curtis, 39, from Athol, along with other individuals, for various drug trafficking offenses. According to the Boston Police Department's official report, officers were conducting an investigation around 19 Farrington Avenue when they observed suspicious activity involving a vehicle and a number of individuals.

The arrest unfolded after officers witnessed what appeared to be a drug transaction. A motor vehicle blocked a driveway and a passenger was seen entering and exiting a building briefly. Subsequently, the Boston Police Department followed the vehicle as it headed towards Cambridge Street and, upon stopping of vehicle, recovered Fentanyl from the rear passenger. During the confrontation on Farrington Avenue, officers also approached another group exiting the same building. Despite initially providing false identification, the true identities of the suspects were uncovered, and arrests were made, including Michael Groden, 45, of Needham, and Katherine Isaacs, 34, of Boston.

As the investigation continued, officers unearthed an extensive amount of drugs and cash. Curtis was found with "79 grams of Fentanyl, 28 grams of Cocaine, and $1,928 in U.S. Currency." The charges brought against him include Trafficking of Fentanyl, Trafficking of Cocaine, and Possession of Class B drugs. Groden faces charges for Possession of Class A drugs as well as for various warrants, while Isaacs was arrested on a warrant for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, as detailed by the Boston Police Department. Curtis is expected to be arraigned at the Brighton District Court, while the fate of the others apprehended remains in the hands of the judiciary.
