The upcoming Chandler Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon set to take place on February 22 at the Hamilton High School Auditorium, will honor an exceptional crop of inductees for their contributions to the city's athletic landscape. Starting at 11 a.m., fans and supporters will gather to celebrate eight local sports figures who have made their mark in various disciplines, from cheerleading to baseball.
According to an announcement by the Chandler Museum, the 2025 class includes noteworthy names like Ally Cheatham for cheerleading, Bob Callison in wrestling, and Brooke Nuneviller for her volleyball achievements, along with Derrick Richardson in football, Jalen Williams on the basketball court, Kara Linder in fencing, Badminton coach Lerina Johnson, and baseball standout Patrick Murphy. Setting the bar for excellence, these sportspersons have not only represented their city and schools with distinction but also etched their names into Chandler's Hall of Athletic Fame.
Additionally, as highlighted by the Chandler Museum, two Special Recognition Awards will be presented. Hugo Ramos is set to receive one for exceptional care of campus and athletic facilities, while John Prothro will be celebrated as "The Voice of Perry High School," reflecting their integral roles in supporting Chandler's sports community.
