
Early on Friday morning, a vacant building on Chicago's South Side was consumed by fire before succumbing to collapse. According to WGN-TV, the Chicago Fire Department responded to a massive blaze that erupted around 4:00 a.m. at the intersection of 44th Place and Wentworth Avenue in the Fuller Park neighborhood.
The fire ended with the building fully engulfed in flames, eventually leading to its collapse. Striking the blaze out by 5:00 a.m., fortunately, no firefighters were reported injured in the incident.
Amidst the remnants, investigations are now underway to determine the cause of this fiery event. Both the Chicago Fire Department and local officials are involved, as pointed out in a FOX 32 Chicago report that also confirmed there were no injuries sustained.
It was confirmed the fire was fully extinguished at around 5:20 a.m.
