A fatal encounter unfolded in the parking lot of a Lawrenceville-area McDonald's, where an argument between two men escalated into a shooting incident, police said. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the victim, Donald Stewart, 43, of Commerce, was found with a gunshot wound by officers who were dispatched to the scene at 4915 Sugarloaf Parkway on Wednesday afternoon.
The accused, Michael Todd, 40, of Hoschton, was found at the location along with a witness and cooperated with the authorities. Having been charged with malice murder, felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, it was revealed by the police that Todd was Stewart's boss.
