The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department has named the first honorees of its 2025 Employee of the Month recognitions, showcasing dedicated individuals who have excelled in their roles. The department took to social media to commend these employees, including sworn officers and civilian staff, for their outstanding work.
Deputy Robert Barnhart received accolades in February and was recognized for his commitment to freeway management. His work is vital in maintaining the flow and safety of vehicular traffic in areas under the county's purview. Three other employees were celebrated for their exemplary service to the department. In January, Saseta Dawson was commended for her work as a Civilian Clerk in DMU Bonds and Warrants. Shantae Colonel, a DSO/Courtesy Patroller in Central Intake, was acknowledged for her January contributions. For February, alongside Barnhart, Saly Karamevellil was recognized for her work as a Civilian Clerk in DMU Release. Cecil Sparks received appreciation for his role as a DSO/Courtesy Patroller at the North Tower.
