In recognition of swift action that likely tipped the scales between life and death, Denton County Emergency Service District #1 honored Shift Supervisor Bonnie Putnam at their annual banquet on February 8.
As the Denton County Sheriff's Office reported, Putnam’s decisive guidance during a 911 call on December 14, 2024, earned her a Lifesaving Award. While serving as a Fire Dispatcher, Putnam answered a call about a gunshot victim and calmly provided crucial pre-arrival medical instructions.
