Early Tuesday morning, a joint task force involving the Youth Violence Strike Force, Massachusetts State Police, Taunton Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant in Dorchester, leading to the recovery of multiple firearms and one arrest. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation focusing on 26 Lorne Street. According to Boston Police Department, officials seized three firearms, one of which had been modified with a machine gun switch.
Officers found a fourth firearm, a ghost gun, which was loaded with ten rounds. A ghost gun has no serial number, making it hard to trace and often linked to crime. The person arrested, 38-year-old Cornell Brown from Dorchester, is facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Details of his arraignment in Dorchester District Court were included in the report after the discovery, as reported by the Boston Police Department.
Cornell Brown is now awaiting legal proceedings after being arrested, facing charges that could lead to significant prison time if proven. Details about the investigation and the timing of his capture have not been shared, as law enforcement operations are often complex and confidential, as per the Boston Police Department.
