In an effort to foster a more cohesive network among local nonprofits, the Everett Chamber is launching a new initiative: the Everett Nonprofit Collaboration Roundtable. According to an announcement posted on the City of Everett's official website, the roundtable aims to create a forum where nonprofit leaders can share resources and brainstorm on how to better align their services.
The inaugural event is slated to be held at the Schack Art Center on February 26, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. True to the spirit of collaboration it seeks to engender, the chamber has extended an open invitation to nonprofits across various sectors, be it arts, human services, education, or environmental work. "Whether you focus on arts, human services, education, environmental causes, or any other mission, this space is for you," Wendy told City of Everett's official website, as she invited local nonprofits to quickly join in on this conversation and the shared purpose.
These monthly gatherings are not only intended to reduce the overlaps in services offered by different nonprofits but also to potentially uncover new ways to synergistically tackle community challenges. Wendy emphasized, in the release, that there is no formal agenda for the meetings, which are meant to provide a laid-back setting conducive to free-flowing dialogue and the spontaneous exchange of ideas.
Wendy encourages nonprofit leaders to come together to build a stronger and more connected nonprofit ecosystem in Everett. "Let's build a stronger, more connected nonprofit ecosystem in Everett. I’d love to see you there!" she said, expressing her anticipation for what the community can achieve through these sessions. The roundtable is free and those interested in attending are urged to RSVP through the link provided in the City of Everett's official website.
