
A man was fatally shot in a Franklin neighborhood on Tuesday evening, spurring an active homicide investigation by local authorities. Franklin Police Department officers were dispatched to Valor Court around 6:30 p.m. after receiving calls of gunfire, WKRN reported. Upon arrival, they found 32-year-old Lattarius Johnson with gunshot wounds.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Johnson could not survive his injuries and was later pronounced dead. Police have yet to release further details but did confirm that they are actively following up on leads to quickly determine what might have led to the shooting. According to WSMV, detectives believe the event to be an "isolated incident."
As the investigations persist, the Franklin Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance. They are urging anyone with information related to the shooting or potential suspects to come forward.
