Early on Monday morning, Oklahoma City firefighters responded to a blaze that inflicted damage on multiple apartment units in southeast Oklahoma City. The fire department was summoned just after 6 a.m. to a location near Southeast 15th Street and S High Avenue, as reported by OKC FOX. The affected building was vacant, with no individuals present during the incident.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a considerable amount of smoke issuing from the premises, a scene depicted from above by Sky 5, the only news helicopter flying on weekday mornings. Pilot Chase Rutledge commented on the situation, noting, "flames also could be seen just below the roof line as firefighters arrived at the scene," information shared by KOCO. The fire resulted in at least four units suffering from smoke damage and affected two residents.

The Red Cross has stepped in to provide assistance in the wake of the fire. They will support local citizens as they navigate the aftermath of the property damage, a service underscored by OKC FOX.
