According to the El Paso Police Department, the tragic event unfolded on Interstate 10 near Trowbridge around 10 pm. The preliminary information obtained by El Paso Police, suggests that the driver, identified as Mr. Ortega, was traveling east when he suddenly lost control of his Ford Ranger. The vehicle veered off the road, striking the curb before landing on Gateway East right in front of Mr. Barraza's car, resulting in a second collision.
The impact of the second crash was severe enough to roll Mr. Ortega's vehicle over, consequently ejecting him from the truck.
