Commuters in Alpharetta experienced significant delays early Tuesday morning as two right lanes of GA-400 Southbound were closed near Exit 10 for a death investigation. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the Alpharetta Police Department directed traffic to alternative routes to reduce congestion.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety later confirmed that the closure was due to an individual who died after "voluntarily exiting" their moving vehicle. The incident, which took place just south of Windward Parkway, caused traffic backups to Forsyth County and kept lanes closed until around 9:30 a.m. As per the 11Alive report, Police and Fire responded to GA400, just south of Windward Parkway, to investigate a fatality.

Alpharetta Police are asking for information from witnesses and have encouraged anyone with details to come forward. Police officials provided an email address for Officer Bice and requested references to Case No. 2502-0387.

American Medical Response confirmed that one of their ambulances was involved at the location but did not provide further details due to patient privacy laws, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
