Isaac Hernandez, 30, from Gainesville, faced arrest connected to an aggravated assault that occurred on Wednesday. According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, officers journeyed to the scene at 2090 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road after receiving reports of a shooting.
The gas station disagreement, as detailed by the official Gwinnett County Police Department report, escalated after the two individuals "shoulder-checked" each other inside the establishment. Found with a head injury, the victim was initially under the impression they were shot, a fact that investigators later clarified when they discovered the wound was due to being struck with a firearm, causing accidental discharge.
Hernandez's capture, enabled by the cooperative efforts of the Gwinnett County and Hall County Sheriff’s offices, went down without further incident. Once pinpointed, the suspect was promptly placed into the custody at a location in Gainesville.
