
The Hall County Sheriff's Office community is preparing to say farewell to one of its own, Marcie Ann Walker-Ferrell-Williams, a retired employee who showed dedication during her 17-year tenure with the Hall County Jail. Marcie's passing was last Friday after a valiant struggle with cancer, a battle she confronted with "strength and grace," as remembered by her colleagues. According to an obituary released by the family, her death occurred at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
A service to commemorate Marcie's life has been scheduled next Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church in Gainesville. As mentioned by FOX5 Atlanta, the celebration will begin at 11 a.m., preceded by a viewing at 10 a.m. Those wanting to pay their respects can join the family and friends, to honor the commitment, kindness, and service Marcie brought to the community, her impact endures beyond her retirement, almost a year ago.
Marcie’s career with the Sheriff’s Office left a tangible mark on her co-workers and the greater Hall County community. “Her unwavering commitment, kindness, and service to the community left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her,” 1st Lt.
