A Pennsylvania man, identified as 27-year-old Nassir Jenrette from Harrisburg, has been detained in Baltimore in connection to a stabbing incident that took place last month in York County.

Early Tuesday morning, Jenrette was arrested on Falls Road near 37th Street in Hampden, Baltimore. As WMAR2 News reported, the arrest was part of a coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to Daily Voice, the suspect is accused of attempted murder, among other related crimes, stemming from an incident on January 16, where he allegedly stabbed an individual in a vehicle in Newberry Township. Jenrette faces charges of criminal attempt homicide and additional related offenses. While authorities have yet to unveil specific details on the attack or the current state of the victim, the incident is believed to have been targeted.

Jenrette is now being held in Maryland pending extradition to Pennsylvania, and this case highlighted the effective collaboration between local, state, and federal law enforcement, which led to his swift apprehension recognized by officials. The cooperation from the Newberry Township Police Department to the U.S. Marshals Service in Pennsylvania and the York County District Attorney’s Office to the Baltimore City police showcases the complex web of jurisdiction that often underscores such criminal pursuits.
