
A 26-year-old woman from Hendersonville and her passenger found themselves in custody after Mt. Juliet Police spotted a stolen 2002 Dale Earnhardt edition Monte Carlo. The vehicle was identified using the #MJGuardianShield license plate reader system as it drove into Mt. Juliet from Nashville, a tool the police department credits for the successful interception of the stolen car.
As reported by WKRN, police apprehended the driver, who was also charged with driving on a suspended license, and possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Notably, this is not her first encounter with the law in Mt. Juliet for a similar offense; she was previously arrested in September of 2024 for driving another stolen vehicle.
The car was originally reported stolen from a mechanic’s shop in Livingston. Accomplice to the incident, a 26-year-old male passenger and Mt. Juliet resident, was arrested on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, according to statements by the Mt. Juliet Police described in a social media post.

The Mt. Juliet Police expressed their gratitude for the technology that aided the arrest, stating, "We are grateful for our technology and dedicated officers who work hard to keep our community safe," in a statement obtainted by WKRN. The investigation remains, active as authorities work to further document the circumstances surrounding the theft and subsequent arrest.
