A landlord was fatally shot on the 500 block of Ramos Avenue. The Hayward Police Department has swiftly taken a suspect into custody. According to the official report, at roughly 9:12 a.m. yesterday, officers responded to a distressing call involving the shooting.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered the victim with a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the prompt arrival of medical responders, the man was pronounced dead on the scene. The identity of the deceased is currently withheld, pending notification of the next of kin. As detectives delved into the case, a suspect emerged: 43-year-old Larry Jose Lopez is allegedly the perpetrator behind the trigger. He was arrested on the day of the incident and now faces murder charges as he sits behind bars at Santa Rita Jail.
